I can not copy it . So Mathew Goldsworthy and Luke Thompson are retiring at the end of 2024.

Thommo leaving a top player. Goldy has been a top player but has been playing poorly this season.

Yes, like Biden, players need to know when their time is up, and go out gracefully.

Good luck to both of them, and I hope to see some father-son players in the future (I will only be about 95!!!)

Goldsworthy has been struggling with injury for about 5 seasons, so for him to push through that, is a credit to him. His influence in the 2020 Grand Final, again, on the back of a last minute fitness test, was immense. Was still showing flashes of great play throughout 21/22, but has struggled the last couple of seasons and the time is right for him to call time.

Thompson is still playing good footy, but better to call it while the going is good than going one season too long. The captain of the footy club throughout our most successful period and a reliable key defender week in week out.

Hopefully one more push by the playing group to get these guys at least one more win, hopefully more.
