We'll win by 7+ goals... South are STILL ordinary, don't get carried away...

It won't be a blow out, the weather will make things closer on Monday.

Agree, weather forecast for Monday - wet & windy. Totally different to last Saturday.spell_check wrote:It won't be a blow out, the weather will make things closer on Monday.

Considering the first round Bye counts as a match, this week's hopeful selection by the Eagles will qualify Broadbent and Salter, if it is 5 games qualification - great stuff. Now to work on Banner, Paul Stewart and Jay Schulz all of whom are not that well entrenched in the Power team, that we haven't a chance of seeing them in the Eagles soon. Also a good chance that Hentschel will come back through us but ? whether the Crows will leave him for us for 5 -6 games.
Mick Godden has stated that he wants to play his AFL players on the flanks and pockets and to keep the spine manned by non-AFL players so that a team play pattern can be better maintained and not messed around by AFL players coming and going.
I believe it is 5 games required for qualification so Broadbent and Salter should qualify this week. Banner most likely to notch up his second game after he was an emergency for the Power last week.

From training tonight. I think the only change will be Banner in for Cheep.
Treebs was training & appeared to be moving OK but training with your own is different to having opposition players getting into you.
If he got another knock on the hip it might mean more time on the sideline.
We can only wait & see tomorrow.

I feel there will be sufficient motivation for the players to play well.
The hammering we would get from other contributors on SAFooty does not bear thinking about!

In the SAFooty time (since late 2005), there has not been a head coach who has moved from one club to another until Ron Fuller. So, the comments and hopeful neutral fans are for all to see! Either way, this is one we can ill afford to lose.

With the other results this weekend...this is a massive game for the club.....to win and go a game clear on top having played one less than those around us on the ladder would be a great foundation to build on for the rest of the season.(sounds like something Peter Schawaz said after the 93 foundation cup GF) ....but i'm sure Ron will have his boys fired up for a massive game, hopefully the weather doesnt spoil the spectacle.
