Panthers v Eagles 12 August Hickinbotham Oval
League 2.10
Reserves 11.30
Putting this up early
I noticed on our injury list excluding Rowntree every player is a test
I wonder will our league be back to full strength or will our seconds be playing league players

Nice to see Bomber is back but in the seconds
Perhaps the other two showed Gods coming back in the seconds is a better option

I think Goddo has a bit of a dilema as to whether to play West or Borholm or play both.
Good opportunity to bring Borholm back through the reserves to assess his progress.

Some bizarre selections and poor performances of late. Why is Jake C still in the b‘s while guys who barely do a thing keep getting games.

It could be said Saturday's game and Norwoods game Eagles need two ruck men
Leave young Hayes up forward play two rucks
We win the taps yet south took the ball away every time

The injuries to midfielders and forwards we seemed to be able to cover and probably pinched a couple of games that could have easily been losses.
Now having 3 of the back 6 has made life a bit more difficult. Didn't seem to be a lot of science about how they kicked their goals yesterday, kick it long and play in front and it paid off, perhaps having nuttsy or goldy down there knowing the right spots to run to may have made a bit of a difference.
We are the hunted now, they had alot on the line yesterday and played accordingly.
Some big scores and margins in all games yesterday haven't really looked over the scores in detail but assuming the goals were kicked at the southern end of most grounds.
Big two weeks ahead.

True Columbo
I think centrals did to Norwood what south did to us

Re: Panthers v Eagles 12 August Hickinbotham Oval
I don't think I've ever seen a side just score at will against us like that in the second quarter...my records indicate this is so, as it's the 2nd highest scoring quarter for points and equal highest number of scoring shots in a quarter by an opposing side.
Therefore, I'd like to think this is just an anomaly. As Columbo pointed out, there are some key players missing down back.
The main concern I have, is that we don't score enough. That was the first century score we have conceded for three years, and the highest score conceded for eight years. However, for a top side, we can only seem to score in one burst during a match - think Port at Woodville, 3rd qtr, West at Woodville, 2nd qtr, Central at Elizabeth, last qtr...but have only kicked two 100+ scores this year.
