SANFLW Eagles email team list for the round

A squad of 24 has be announced for our inagural match in the SANFLW against Glenelg [url=x-apple-data-detectors://1]tomorrow night[/url]. We hope to see plenty of Eagles fans down at Noarlunga cheering the girls on in this historic match.

There will be plenty of action at Noarlunga for the kids with an inflatable waterslide and the SANFL inflatable goals. In the Jimmy Deane's Bistro, it is Fish n Chips and beer night, while the kids eat free. Dinner is open [url=x-apple-data-detectors://16]from 5:30pm-8:30pm[/url]. All bars and canteens will also be open for the duration of both games.

Out of interest does anyone know if this will be digital pass streamed. I think matches were last season.

Our SANFLW team took to the field for the first tim against Glenelg down at Noarlunga. After going into quarter time a point in front, the Bays put together a strong second term which created a lead that proved too hard to overcome. Glenelg were eventual winners 7.9 (51) to the Eagles 2.4 (16).
Jaimi Tabb was a standout in the midfield, with Maddy Dufek contributing well up forward and Ash Reid performed well down back. Developing consistency will be the key to better results, and with 19 SANFLW debutants on the weekend, we expect the improvement will be there week-in week-out.

We look forward to the challenge of taking on a strong West Adelaide outfit who are coming off a win in the first round. We hope you to see you at City Mazda Stadium supporting the team.

Round 2 Match Report
Our Eagles SANFLW team put together a much better brand of football against West Adelaide at City Mazda Stadium but unfortunately fell short of thier first win by just 3 points.
The inclusion of youngsters Tesharna Maher and Teagan Usher for their first games gave the team an injection of pace and provided the team with clean hands around the contest. Trailing by 28 points at three quarter time, the team piled on the last four goals of the match, led by Jaimi Tabb who was instrumental kicking two majors in the final term. Ultimately it was West Adelaide's efficiency going forward earlier in the match that proved the difference.
We look forward to taking on fellow first year SANFLW team Central District at this Friday at 6 pm Coopers Stadium.

SANFLW Round 3 Match Report
Round three in the SANFLW and we came up against fellow first year team Central District last Friday night at Coopers Stadium in extremely warm conditions. Similar to Round two, it was a story of missed opportunities, having more scoring shots to half time, yet trailing by 11 points.
Central continued to be more efficient in front of goal in the second half, running out winners by 28 points. On the result, coach Tess Baxter said, "We are seeing improvement week-in week-out from the girls and will go into the break with a focus on converting our opportunities. The first three weeks has seen the women give themselves plenty of opportunities, it is time to start taking them."
The women have the week off before taking on the unbeaten Norwood at X Convenience Oval (Elizabeth).

A squad of 24 has again been announced for this Friday’s SANFLW clash against Central at Coopers Stadium.
Included into the squad this week is Chloe Forby, Courtney Jonson, Shae Pacifico-Hart, Courtney Plowman and Natalie Subelli.

Our Women are back in action tomorrow night as they take on the unbeaten Norwood at X Convenience Oval. Tesharna Maher returns after a week off whilst Taylor McKay, Jess Wilson and Louisa Danforth-Smith have been named for their first games for the Club. Check out the full squad

We came up against undefeated Norwood on Friday night at X Convenience oval in Round 4. The Bye allowed for some extra time for recovery for players who had sustained injuries in pre-season, allowing Taylor McKay (Fwd) and Jess Wilson (Mid) to come in for their first games of the year.
The Legs absolutely bolted out of the gates in the first quarter, booting two goals quite quickly and spreading our defence. Although we also managed forward entries ourself, we were unable to convert. With Norwood adding two more to their tally we went into quarter time four goals down.
Best Players: Steph Walker, Adele Gibson, Jaimi Tabb, Ashlee Reid, Kiana Lee, Grace Smallacombe
