Ive heard Andrew McPherson will be a high AFL draft. Should we blood him when available?

Boyd and McGregor out. Big losses but give some new players a chance. My man Haylock in. Hope he performs.

Ok so we got totally sucked in early, we're better than that so the win was great in the end but it shouldn't have been so close. Please tell me why when we continually get a player on his own with nobody within coooeeee of him arms waving and a certain goal will be ours? why doesnt it happen? instead yeah ok in one instance it costs us a goal instead of us scoring one? Is that the way they are coached????

That was one of the more attractive to watch matches (esp. if you're a neutral!) I have seen for a while in the competition. We really turned it on the 3rd quarter; but had to work our arses off in the 2nd to get back into it. At this stage I think the week off can't come quick enough.
There's a couple of matches it reminded me of - the Round 20 2007 match, where we pinched that off North after being behind 20 points after half time, and also the 2002 AFL Elimination Final between Adelaide and Melbourne.
Also, according to my camera, the match finished two minutes after the sunset time!

i was there we were out played or out smarted for 1 and 1/2 quarters
As good as north were their defensive game style was very AFL like and North couldnt do it for 4 quarters
How we fought back was great but we took the foot off North came back and took control
But when Wundke took that mark and kicked that goal the entire Eagles army woke up
And that ended the north fans mouthing off along with young hayloks goal
Ex Eagles kicked a couple of goals in the first then didnt notice them

We got out of jail, but gutsy win with no Pup, Boyd and McGregor.
How long does Godden persist with Whittlesea? I know there's not a host of options to bring in, but half a dozen possessions and 1-2 marks in a key position in multiple games this year just isn't cutting it.
Might be time to try West as back up ruckman to Bomber, and play Jack Hayes as true CHF.

Whittlesea doesn't kick 3 goals every week but he can and is a player that the opposition need to watch as he can turn it on. He is at least a trier and puts in in my opinion. What we really have missed is Petrenko giving us extra possessions at centreMara32 wrote:We got out of jail, but gutsy win with no Pup, Boyd and McGregor.

your correct about Pup
Whittlesea is underrated then bobs up
Hayes is only young
West needs to improve a bit more or do more work around the ground

Think Westy is coming along well in the 2's. Dominating hit outs, can take a strong grab and kick a goal, probably just needs to get a few more hit outs going our way and use his bulk a bit more around the ground.
