Jacob Templeton out for 10-12 weeks!!! If we can hold things together for the first 13 games, say 8 wins 5 losses, then with Grocke, Templeton and Rowntree coming back into the team, Eagles should be able to build to a good finish.

Interesting that Grocke was still having a little trouble with his post-surgical Tendo Achilles and yet we were rucking him where he was continually vertically jumping (more than he would as a forward) and loading his tendo acilles even more. I would have thought that, to get him through the season, we can't ruck him. Perhaps the suspension has the "upside" of having him recover for the second half of the season - his tendo achilles may not have lasted a full season.

Patty Guifreda has always done a pretty good fill-in job at fullback but at ? 182cm, i'ts tough when he comes up against Bass (South) 203cm Renouf 204cm or Bruenburger 198cm (Port) etc. Eagles may have to search deep to unearth another youngster, maybe Whittlesea or McKenzie or the older Killian.

The crowd was just over 4200, that's more than half, want some sauce with that hat?

credit where it's due, while miles short of the promotion figure, a very good crowd none-the-less. Will be intriguing to see how the crowds against the reserves sides go moving forward. Is it currently a novelty that will wear off, or will it be sustained?

If there was 2,300 at the last home game there was at least double that today, was thinking it was closer to 5000 than 4000 but like you say a good result. The pleasing thing was that we seemed to have a quite a good amount of that crowd and there seemed to be alot less teal in the crowd compared to previous years.

Im a bit saddened to read some peoples opinions of this season. Come on we need to stick together especially this year with all the changes to the comp. Its only early days for all teams.

The competition must have a level playing field and it is not with professional teams playing in it. The Crows have created this by weaseling their way into the SANFL with lies and false promises and should be deleted
