I loved that last 1/4 against the Bays. That's was how we were playing until a few weeks back. If we came out of Saturdays game unscathed and have a couple come back I'm sure we can win. Unfortunately I will be Crowing in Melbourne but the SANFL app will be going flat out.

Great second half to get a valuable win but footy can be a cruel game sometimes.

Bomber, Pup, McGregor, Wundke all missing, plus go a man down early with Gus going down... that's an unbelievable victory against an AFL listed team.
I think it's been confirmed that Rowntree has done another ACL, which is devastating for the poor bloke. Would surely spell the end of his luckless career.

Agree about Gus. I think we have seen the last of him. Absolute shame. A true champ of the club.
I was in Melbourne on Saturday so did not attend match. I watched the 2nd half last night. you may be close to right in regards Boyd. He was on the ground and the umpire called him holding the ball. Probably did not know he had it. The umpires let the game play on around him for quite a while. Where's duty of care. Poor umpiring.

That bald umpire is the worst umpire i can remember...it seemed like every decision he made was wrong...in the 3rd quarter he gifted us a goal to West (even he wasn't expecting it) and then a few minutes later Allmond kicks a goal and he reverses the decision and pays a soft free to port...every decision he made was confusing...

Is that the umpire everyone complains about on SA Footy. They keep mentioning a bald umpire.

i have seen a bald umpire the last two weeks not 100 percent certain its the same guy
but if its two strange decisions paid against the eagles by bald umpires really strange
as i posted somewhere one umpire pays a mark to port play on he calls arms going like a seagull suddenly he yells 25 metres how after he called play on

there are either twp bald umpires or one that has issues with the Eagles
yep we assumed West was pushed in the back
But that goal not allowed we had no idea why even the goal umpire was confused

I spoke to Nutsy after the match - he said Lewy elbowed someone. Shame, because that would have been our best ever 3rd quarter against Port - either version of them

Not sure what you are saying. Has Lewy been reported?
Unrelated, is anyone watching the under 18s championships on Fox. The Eagle player look good, Rowe,Lukosis and Gaffney. Not sure if any others.

Spelly is telling us how Port got a free which meant we had a goal taken away .It just looked strange sitting in the outer .
I havent watched the Championships
But i have watched Lukosis and Gaffney in the Eagles seconds
We have had a few Eagles juniors come up this year with surnames you may recall
WWT sons of either club this year new so far
Lukosis
Weidaman
And one former Port players son played last week small forward
Mead
