Re: Sat 22/3 - Eagles V Crows Trial
Good list
Accepting that Rowntree will miss most/all of the season, then the only players missing are Culley, Summerton and Allmond (and we need all of those ).
Giles Ellis is one to look out for - looked good last week in the Reserves Trial.
Fitzgerald was unlucky - expect him to get a game forward or back before the end of season.
disappointing Amos Frank hasn't returned.

Fantastic report on the game in the Mail. Crows were billiant all over the ground and won easily (Well thats what it read like) Excellent balanced reporting or was Bednall being sarcastic

Re: Sat 22/3 - Eagles V Crows Trial
Here's a better report:
Only several missed chances by Grocke and Ainger, who played well, kept the Crows within a goal at 3Q time before the Eagles blew them away in the final term.
Despite the enormous height advantage of the Crows Graham and Osborn allowing first touch at the centre bounces, the Eagles midfield led by James Boyd early but also Appleton, Kane and Lewis read the ball from losing rucks and won the clearances. Bornholm rucked all day without support and crashed in hard to lessen his bigger opponents ruckwork, then back-upped around the ground. Goldsworthy was the best small forward closely followed by a very encouraging Poole who crumbed well for 3 goals and also did well around the ground. Wundke's score-sheet read 1 goal but he showed his class with 4 goal-assists pass-offs in the first half.
Our backline had trouble coping with the height of Osborne and Angus when they rested up forward but otherwise did well and Guifreda, Sumner, Raymond and Batley running the ball out. Templeton was solid and effective at full back.
In summary, good trial, difficult to assess the quality of opposition and Bornholm just might be the most important player in the team that we can't replace.

Premiers I actually thought Bornholm Grocke and Huppatz after half time all troubled Graham etc !!
one of the crows ruckman was laying on the ground after a ruck contest
And did anyone see who got templeton in the throat and did they get reported for it !!
Boyd good signing
Macgregor the same
