I've been waiting for this to come online .There were 2 articles in the local rag re the club.

RISING Eagles star Matthew McDonough is hoping to help the defending premier win back-to-back flags this season.

The 17-year-old forward is among Woodville-West Torrens Football Club's promising juniors. He played several Reserves games last season, and is tipped to make his league debut this year.

McDonough said he hoped to cement a position in the team during the season.

"I know I still have a lot to improve on but I'm training really hard and hoping it will pay off," he said.

The former St Michael's College student also hopes to be drafted to the AFL.

"This year is probably the best chance I've got so I will be working hard to get there," he said.

Eagles coach Michael Godden said he had high hopes for the talented teenager this season.

"He's shown a lot of promise so far and if he wants it bad enough I think he could definitely crack League footy this year," Godden said

"I think he's certainly one that the AFL will be looking at as well."
