Any word on the injury to Giuffreda? He's not on the injury list - hopefully this means he is ok?

Could really use Grieger and Giuffreda back this week to strengthen the defence.

Treeby went off after kicking a goal last week in the 2nd quarter and looks like he's out for a couple with a hammy.

Massive game this week. Could not take Glenelg singing their club song on the oval after the game again.

I spoke to Treebs on Saturday night and yes, it is hammy & he said at least 2 weeks.
Hopefully will learn more about Paddy & Griegs at training on Wednesday night.

Can someone clarify the status of Broadbent and Smith re finals qualification?

1. Broadbent. I reckon he's played 2 plus was not AFL selected when the Eagles had a bye giving him 3. With 2 AFL games to go, hopefully, he can be non selected and make the mandatory 5.

2. ? whether Smith has totalled 2 or 3 so far.

Broadbent with his running height would be a bonus to our short forward line

My understanding is Smith as the travelling emergency has now qualified .

What a great result by the boys. I was very worried about this game because Glenelg were yapping at our heels, one slip & we were looking at 4th position. Our boys didn't let us down.
I don't think we had any serious injuries. Stapes tells me his problem is shin splints but assures me he will be OK for this week.
Great watching the two indigenous boys Kieran & Amos have a run in the ressies. Had a few words with them back at the club on Saturday night & they really enjoyed themselves. Hope we can welcome them back to our club again sometime.
