The WWTFC can confirm that Aaron Kite will likely miss the first 9 weeks of the 2011 season following surgery to help address a stress fracture of his right foot sustained during pre-season training in December.



Club medicos had hoped that the injury would heal itself, however recent scans showed that the fracture was not healing at the rate necessary to avoid surgery.



On the injury Michael Godden said "Obviously it is disappointing for Aaron and the Club that he will miss the early part of the season, however we are confident that he will be available for selection from Round 9 and will feature heavily in our pursuit of a premiership in Season 2011".
