They might want to rest some players and keep them fresh for the finals. I've seen that happen a few times

Surely NA want top spot. The Crow are 2 points behind them and will beat PA later today.

A disappointing loss and not the note Redden would have like to go out on. I expect a few others to leave in the off season. I hope our recruiters do their magic again.
Congrats to Dan Menzel on wining the goal kicking. Lets hope Riley Knight has a good night at he Magarey.

A tale of two halves this season. We were as bad as anyone, except for perhaps Port, in the last half of the season.
There's good players. Then there's good players who up the ante when a game is there to be won. We don't have too many of the latter left.
Well done to Big Red. What a great servant he's been. Lets hope Thompson, Sinor, Goldy, Rowland, Firns, Toumpas, Knight etc continue on and we can add some youth to the existing youth and recruit some heart and soul types to get back up the ladder quickly.

I think Sheedy was hoping that Lehmann would be Thompson's heir apparent. With his departure we don't really have anyone within the club who can play the key defender role if Thompson decides to retire. That said, I do wonder whether Lehmann's departure might sway Thompson to going around one more year if he was sitting on the fence. He does strike me as someone who'd be swayed by that situation rather than leaving the club in the lurch.
I'd be surprised if any of the others retired. Goldy showed more than enough form wise that when he was fit he is still one of our best players.
Would love to recruit such that Rowland and Firns aren't required to play positions they are clearly not suited towards - Rowland is not and onballer and Firns is not a forward line player and certainly is NOT a ruckman.

Hearing that all might not be lost with Lehmann, apparently he is being seconded to the MCG for a three month period, not sure of time period. Have to wait and see.

Rumour is that North Adelaide are interested in Kai Pudney.

When he was a junior I noticed in the finals years ago after the game they won he was talking to people who had family in the North Adelaide side

Missed that one Mickey. Yes he was a WWT junior a couple of years ago. His Father is/was an Ass. coach at PA. Picked up at PA as F/s. He had 19 possessions against the Crows on the weekend.
I think his Father went back to WA so it would surprise me if he followed. Would be a good pick up.

I had to ask the others weren’t from us . It came up on Facebook from the AFL thought I’d ask

Skinner was also delisted by Port no Power. He’d be very handy at The Eagles but if not picked up by another AFL Club assume he’d go back to South unless Sheeds can convince him otherwise. I don’t rate Schofield and if he stayed in SA he’d join the rest of the Eagle discards at Ethelton.
