Well done Eagles
The Reconciliation Journey Begins!
The WWTFC is proud to advise that the Club has commenced the journey of developing a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Over the past several years, the Club has been committed to facilitating respect, trust and positive relationships between the WWTFC, community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The first step in establishing a RAP is ensuring the Club implements appropriate practical actions that will drive the organisation’s contribution to Reconciliation, both internally and in the communities in which it operates. In early March, the Club appointed Devinia Binell, who is a proud Barngarla-Kokatha-Wirangu woman to the Board to guide the Club through the Reconciliation journey.
David Couzner, Football Director said “this is a great initiative that will ensure that the WWTFC continues to build and strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, organisations and the broader South Australian community. It is an exciting time for the Club, it’s members, supporters and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities in which we operate.”
