I assume that's Liam Buxton , Rhyan Mansell , Lonegan and Foote. I think we can live with that. It will be good to see more up and coming juniors. I was keen on seeing Buxton.

Listening to the Glenelg coach this morning on SEN he was saying that all players had committed for the season (and playing for jobseeker allowance) so that's going to put us a bit behind if the rumours are true...hopefully someone from the club can update on the situation ASAP

The SANFL said Jobkeeper. How would part time footballers be eligible for that. I thought there a eligibly requirements for this. Our guys may have already gone home and not worth our while bringing them back.

Re: SANFL starting before AFL
That's unbelievable if true. So this is their only job? Some creative accounting here.
Employers need to pay all eligible employees a minimum of $1,500 (before tax) per fortnight to claim the JobKeeper payment. This will be paid to the employer in arrears each month by us. The first payments to eligible employers will commence in the first week of May 2020. JobKeeper payments can be made for the period beginning 30 March 2020.
If employers do not continue to pay their employees for each pay period, they will cease to qualify for the JobKeeper payment.
To be eligible for the JobKeeper payment, employers and their employees must meet a range of criteria.

Re: SANFL starting before AFL
Didn't hear the interview so am obviously missing the context but..
Work and recruits always seem to go hand in hand in a league where the players are part time. I wonder if he was talking in respect of players committing because if they have the jobkeeper payment as part of their day jobs meaning they may not need to rely on footy payments as a source of income.

Mark Stone interview

just after the 9 minute mark.
I just wonder if our club was smart enough with this.

Re: SANFL starting before AFL
I am concerned reading of players not wanting to play. SAfooty mention Jake J not playing now Are we not using the Jobkeeper program as well as other clubs. Is there any good news coming? I still have faith in our juniors coming to the front.

C7 news just showed Sheedy and the boys training. Sheedy said he has a full list to choose from. Not sure what that means but sounded ok to me.
