Looks a good side on paper, but North have a fantastic side. It's going to take a 100% effort for 4 quarters by all 21 that pull on the gold, green and blue to get the win in this one.

A lot of us have been quick to bag Ron fuller, but at the end of th day hid time with us has been better than goddens despite goddens ability to recruit so much more. Bit frustrated by godsys commenents about no point in making finals if don't win flag, yet we have been nowhere near it of late. Can't believe he paid big money for outh hacks like Niger and th other guy. Teckon that might be it for me. We are full of piss and wind. All talk, no action.

Another very poor performance. Any supporters who may be left for next years AFL practice comp may give up caring

Fuller had twice the list our stars were in the prime he managed one flag. Godden got a list of players that had put there best years behind them and got one flag. Fuller should have been a better coach than Godden but he should have got us 2-3 flags instead he got us one.

Pus how is this any different to 02-03 Under ron.

and as for recurting fuller chased biagie for years and I bet he was on more money than ainger and cheep aswell

Dont understand any of that. Godsey has had 4 years now, and we are going backward with our Afl players disappearing. Getting rid of Todd miles has istroyed what we are about. Tom to move godden aide nd gt a serious oah that can arrang a midfield and. Chance of success

Dobber and all other dooms dayers it is always tough when your football team looses a game but it doesn't help when your supporters turn on their coach. Facts as we know them this team with its nine first year league players finished second in the home and away season proud of them, lost both finals games but played 2 first halves incredibly well only to loose, young players do that, however, the exciting thing to look forward to is the depth of this great club with two teams still in the hunt so perhaps over the next few years while the rest of this club gets on with task of building our dynasty you might come and visit once in a while and swallow a bit of humble pie. To Michael and team good luck next season from those of us who will always love our club AFL or not

Well said Landed. Spoke to a few boys on Sunday night and they are looking forward to next year. Bring on 2014. Can't wait. I'm a proud Eagles supporter.

Wish I shared your enthusiasm. Think our list is thin. Most clubs have a bunch of young players coming through, but our recruiting of over-priced battlers like Ainger mean we will struggle to bring in the class we need to replace the afl guys that played for us in most of our better wins this season. Lets wait and see. Not saying Godden is terrible, just don't think he has done as much as Fuller, who many people on this site have bagged non-stop while he was with us and after he left.

Well Dobber rather than following those people perhaps you could find it in your vast experience to perhaps help Ainger to correct his marking and kicking and while your at it help lead our club to victory that is off course if you haven't already left to support the amateur clubs? To all the rest of us lets make next year even greater and lets go grab that cup and hold it high with pride GO EAGLES!!!!!!!!!! And good luck to the young men who will represent our club on the weekend.

Agree Landed & Jenks31.  I too spoke to many of our boys Sunday night & in particular Andrew Ainger, he is just as annoyed as we are with his kicking. I'm at a loss to understand Dobber's comment re 'most other clubs have a bunch of youngster coming through'.  I thought our under 18's were playing in a GF in a weeks time!!!
Sorry Dobber, but we do not need your negativity.  If I remember from one of your previous post you will not be renewing your Eagles membership next year so you won't need to worry about our recruiting & coaches.

Yes our u18s are playing in the GF after winning the flag last year.

Well everyone was saying at the start of the year we recruited to win a b grade premiership which looks likely. Any chance of recruiting some quality midfielders for 2014 or is it just going to be another wasted year because it's bleeding obvious we cannot win a premiership with that midfield

Well we need to recruit some players that's for sure .And players with leg speed north showed us that !!

Josh Growdon has been delisted from Richmond ? whether he'll return to the Eagles. Suffered a broken leg in 2011 which also kept him out for all but the last 4 games of the 2012 season and this season was only fair.
Rumour that Centrals have sacked James Boyd - would he be worth the big $$$$ he'll cost.
From a South official, Joel Cross hasn't committed to next year yet.
Now that Sam Gray has been stitched up by the Magpies, ? whether Zane Kirkwood would be chased?

Have we made any further progress towards signing the Queensland ruckman ?

Amos Frank delisted from Hawthorn. ? whether he'll return to the Eagles. From all accounts, did show some improvement at Hawthorn but hampered by injuries. Has pace and evasive skills through the midfield.
