Hello! It is very quiet this week.
Im a little nervous about this one!
We all need to get to Unley and support our boys, this is a very
important game for the club.
Dont want to see another Adelaide oval do we!!!!

Yes a very quiet week. I think we are all still in shock after last week's result, but I've moved on & look forward to Unley tomorrow.
I will definitely be there supporting 'our boys'.

Bit of a de ja vu in the third quarter, yeah? After a kick out from a behind, Lewis intercepts, has an easy shot for goal and misses. Like last week, same quarter, same time of the quarter, to improve a lead.

Thankfully poor kicking in front of goal didn't cost us the match again. It's another match where you say to yourself "We'll take the points, that's all". Too often we should be kicking the ball when a handpass is used instead.

Into the bye at 7-3 with 4 away wins and probably only 1 and a half games of dominant footy.
Thought Grockes was sensational today, continually presenting and working his guts out, hope the chinese burn on his arm from his opponents continually holding on to him and getting away with it heals quickly

On paper, the best Eagles side we can field with all players available against Sturt and in that regard, it could be seen as an extra bad performance as we again failed to find good entry into our forward line - the inability to kick more than 14- 15 goals a game is not going to take you to a grand-final.
But
we took a very under-done team fitness wise into the game and got away with a win -
Ciccolla looks like he's been in a "good paddock" over his lay-off
Rowntree has only been back one week since his 4-5 week absence.
Hall likewise only in his second game after 6 weeks off.

When 3 of those 4 players are in your run-on division, we were lucky to get away with it. We can only hope that this group can stay injury free, get some hard training/fitness into them over the next 2 weeks and learn about each other's games to gel together - otherwise, we're going to rapidly fall out of the 5.
Perhaps, we'll soon see Chris Knights propping up the midfield but looks like we won't see Petrenko or Thompson for the rest of the year.

Thanks 'Premiers' I now feel a bit better about the game. I too thought it was the best side we could field but didn't take into account the fitness of the players you have mentioned especially Cica. Having a knee injury certainly restricts your running & he did look a bit slow. The bye has definitely come at the right time, hopefully we will have a much fitter side to put on the field against South on the 25th.
