Lack of match practice for the Eagles

I thought we were going to be underdone anyway with only 3 trials and a bye in the first round but now we have to put up with this 'Mickey Mouse' 6 quarter scenario with league and reserves combined against the dogs.
I trust Godden has something in mind but it is not the same as a proper game.

Agreed, if it really cant be put on prior to the match at Elizabeth why cant it be moved to Sunday afterwards and done properly?

Under 18's and poss 16's on Sunday at Elizabeth i believe.

While watching training Wednesday night we (us faithful fans )asked the same questions of Chris and Kurt .They had to play it Friday as both clubs had promised their players the weekend off .Interstate and country players will be heading home over the weekend.
Otherwise it would have been moved to another day.
The Eagles may play another internal next week there was talk of that .

If you read today's Advertiser the game is 5.30pm TOMORROW NIGHT.

You wouldn't want to play many matches if the injuries keep up!

After seeing Fridays display, one more trial game is not going to be enough. Mind you, it was a good wake up call that we have plenty of work to do and just because we have a new coach, it aint just gonna happen!

A good reality check.South was the trial the Eagles had to win .Certain players had a point to prove .With a crash back down Friday night,or were the Eagles playing games.Where the missing players the ones that got the team moving against south .
And why did we have virtually no small forwards ?

Me thinks the Eagles didn't want to show to much to the dogs.

That could be the case Micky the thing concerning me most at the moment is the injury list.

Hopefully we will get an updated list up and running after training tomorrow night.

After watching our guys against West on Saturday yes we were underdone really we have had two trials and one sham game.Only time will tell.
