Nothing to do with this weeks game but for general Eagles fans interest I wonder if Mitch Hardie gets the call up for Geelong with Dangerfield now out for 6 weeks. He deserves his chance.

Why are they releasing the squad today as our match is Sunday. 10 player interchange?

From the lengthy interchange list being 4 days out, I'm expecting Pearce (trained well) and Moore ( need heightagainst their v tall forwards. Jack Boyd watching from sidelines (recent appendix removal op). Jacobs worked a long time with Redden, Lukac In centre.
Of course, with no opposition other than against the big cushion, Neuman taking speccys (didn't know he had such a good leap). Didn't see Menzel out here but understandable if his problem is back soreness and leaving fitness test until Sunday.

My mistake re Oscar and Will Pearce.

Cos the SANFL showdown is tomorrow so I'm guessing that's why teams have to be released tonight.

Continuing on at training, I may be wrong re Moore. Sam Jacobs has had a Probables vs Possibles practice match with Bruce and Firns in the Probables and Moore nowhere to be seen, maybe finished and gone in.
Sam has told the Probables, they're 2 points down and have to score - centre circle players " go to your new positions". Sam exerting his rucking nous on to his players.

Years ago I watched a local with his dog complaining to a SANFL offical saying football isn’t played there any more . I’m not joking he was trying to push past and get in

I don't even go out on the oval. I've done it in the past but most of the time I'm either with someone or people or getting a hot drink etc.
