Re: Women’s SANFL
Woodville-West Torrens forward Kiana Lee pushed her team across the line by three points against Glenelg in a thrilling Round 3 Statewide Super Women’s League match.
Lee’s 25m set shot at goal cleared the line eight minutes into the fourth term, allowing the Eagles to cling on for their first win of the season at Hisense Stadium.
Eagle Shineah Goody showed off her defensive skills in the wet with 11 tackles to go with 16 touches while captain Annie Falkenberg collected 14 possessions.
Glenelg captain Ellie Kellock booted her team’s sole goal of the game during the second term while Jessica Bates had 15 disposals and 12 tackles for the Tigers.

Doing a bit of googling. It was Jess Sedunary from the Crows AFLW side. She was everywhere and a class above in my opinion.
Wont t be in our side next week on that form.

Re: Women’s SANFL
Eagles 4.1.25 def Centrals 2.4.16
After Centrals dominated our Round 1 match we were eager to show our improvement heading into Round 4. Coming off of a win thanks in large part to contested possessions, we came in with more confidence in matching Centrals physicality around the contest.
Centrals controlled to footy early and were able to get some clean forward entries through power forward Katelyn Rosenzweig. Annie Falkenberg started strongly, winning possessions and keeping Nicola Biagi quiet up forward. Although the defence worked together well and were able to rebound the footy, Rosenzweig was able to snag a goal to give Centrals the early lead. Late in the quarter we were able goal through Jessica Sedunary to peg centrals back and head into the qtr break a point down.
The second quarter saw us use the footy better and start to hit targets forward of the footy. Shineah Goody and Tash Holmes generated some run through the midfield and Steph Walker was influential up forward booting the only major for the quarter. Kiley Green and Audrey Holt started to hit their strides at SANFL level, taking some strong mark down back to holt Centrals advances, taking us into half time 5 points ahead.
With such a close game the premiership quarter was always going to be important. Centrals came out firing, kicking a goal and taking the lead within the first minute. Zahn Anthony continued her strong form pushing into the mid and making an impact, whilst youngster Chloe Whiting-Charity was again strong around the ground, providing run and carry up forward and making an impact through the mid. Sophie Zuill found some of the footy on the wing and was integral in getting back and assisting in the back 50. The quarter was an arm wrestle but we were able to break through late and regain the lead from another Sedunary goal, this time on the run from the pocket.
The Eagles stood strong in the last and were able to hold off a strong Centrals side. Kiana Lee once again nailed the sealer, slotting in a set shot on the back of an important intercept mark from Jovanka Zecevic. Our rucks must also get a mention with Amie Blanden working hard all game, complemented well by first time ruck Lili Gambranis.
Each player was able to execute their role and play a part in what was a very important win for our football club.

By ZAC MILBANK
Woodville-West Torrens extended its Statewide Super Women’s League winning streak to three after edging out Sturt by four points at X Convenience Oval.
Leading by as many as 10 points on the back of star forward Jess Sedunary’s second major, the Eagles were able to cling on despite one of their former players – Chloe Forby – kicking truly for the Double Blues eight minutes into the final term.
Sedunary was outstanding for the Eagles in also collecting 21 disposals to go with her four shots on goal while reliable midfielders Annie Falkenberg and Jovanka Zecevic each had 17 possessions.
First-year Sturt midfielder Alisha Gepp tallied a career-high 35 disposals, six tackles and four clearances while teammate Jaimee Wittervan registered 21.

North Adelaide registered its first Statewide Super Women’s League win in a month with a convincing 25-point victory against Woodville-West Torrens at Prospect Oval.
Desperate to honour co-captain Leah Tynan in her 50th SANFLW match, the Roosters led at every change as they restored some much-needed confidence back into their playing group.
Wing Katelyn Pope, back from the West Coast Eagles, led the way with 18 disposals and a goal while Kristi Harvey and Brianna Arthur both registered 15 as Tayla Thorn booted two goals.
Eagles captain Annie Falkenberg recorded the most disposals for her team with 23 and a goal while Sophie Zuill was solid with 20 possessions, five tackles and four clearances.
