Financial state of club Empty Financial state of club

I'm staggered no one is jumping up and down about the now perilous financial state of our club. We sold our greatest asset and are now reporting 300k+ losses. While some might be excited to be debt free, these sort of losses can no longer be underpinned putting our future as an entity in jeopardy.

I suppose the extra SANFL receipts from Sale of West Lakes, commencing this year, will be keeping a lot of clubs above water for the next 6-7 years but after that could be a bit of a struggle. I reckon Westies, Glenelg and Centrals are in a worse position

We would be no different to any other SANFL club.
Tough times across the whole league.

The state of club finances does not look too good. I am just thinking outside the square a bit but should the club put in a bid for a NAB challenge match at Woodville. I know the crick people have it but surely a late Feb or early March match would help out financially and expose the club. We have better facilities than Unley and easier to get to.

Would be a great venue but don't think the AFL would be too impressed with the centre square at this time of year, would expect there would also need to be some heavy negotiations with Charles Sturt Council, Woodville CC and the SACA for it to happen 6 weeks before the lease for cricket was up.
