25 seasons of memories
Seeing as we have no game this week and the attention turns to the 25th year Gala dinner I thought it might be a good time to have a think about our favourite memories over those 25 seasons, obviously the 3 flags will be on everyones list but surely there are other games, days or events that stand out for us all, i'll start with 5 things (I have many others) besides the Premierships;
1991 Round 1 vs Sturt
1991 finals series
1993 Foundation Cup
1999 Round 1 vs Glenelg (even though we lost)
2000 Reserves Premiership vs Port
1991 Round 1 vs Sturt
1991 finals series
1993 Foundation Cup
1999 Round 1 vs Glenelg (even though we lost)
2000 Reserves Premiership vs Port

Re: 25 seasons of memories
- 1992 Qualifying Final win vs North
- 1994 ANZAC Day game vs Port at Football Park - 15,126 people, 11 goal first qtr to the Eagles
- 1999 vs Sturt at Woodville (not sure what round) Scott Matthews takes a hanger, Pav kicks clutch last qtr goals and Eagles win by 2 points.
- Scott Lewis goal at the death to win rd 8 match vs West in 2011
- All Premierships are great, but there was nothing like the feeling at the final siren of the 2011 GF. Something that will live with me forever!

Re: 25 seasons of memories
That mark Scott pulled down is one that stands out for me also, as does the fact that he went back and kicked a point! Timmy Inksters grab at Richmond was a decent one too.

Re: 25 seasons of memories
I'm going to give you a tip if you didn't know...it was I who put together and uploaded that video!
All these matches mentioned so far, I'd dearly love to see these matches! I'd love to be able to put together a collection of every Eagles match (win, lose or draw) plus as many matches of the other grades too.
I'm going to select some matches not covered yet:
-1993 Round 21 Eagles 156 point win over North
-2000 Round 13 South score 2.3 for the match and vast areas of Noarlunga was under water
-2001 Round 13 While there were some disgraceful behaviour by some of the 'spectators' present (not saying it's representative of the whole CDFC) we played a fantastic 3rd quarter to turn around a 17 point deficit to a 12 point lead. Up until the match recently played, we only won one more match at Elizabeth
-2006 Preliminary Not that I thought it was great at the time (I simply thought we were going to end up with another GF loss), but looking back on it, the time on period of the third quarter.
North hit the front against the breeze, then we respond with 5 goals in time on to gain enough space for when they had it for the last. Apart from the Grand Final wins, this is the match I am most thankful for winning.
-2013 Round 14 Kick after the siren by Goldsworthy to win the match

Re: 25 seasons of memories
The last Eagles final I missed was the Elimination Final of 1996. I don't know why I wasn't there, but I did take the scores down of the last half (which I think was all the ABC showed)
As I said earlier, I would love to get a hold of matches, this one would be up there on my list. I actually don't remember the match, but I'm hoping this would jog other peoples memories!

Re: 25 seasons of memories
If I recall correctly that final was played in warm and windy conditions, and Nick Pesch kicked a goal after the half time siren from the centre square to the southern end.
