THE EAGLES 2014 SENIOR SQUAD PRE-SEASON CAMP
On the weekend the players were put through a very physical and mentally demanding camp in the Clare Valley just outside of Seven hill. The weekend was designed to fatigue players to the point of breaking to see how they react under that sort of pressure. It was a huge success with players and staff learning a lot about themselves and their team mates. You will be pleased to know the playing groups resilience and strength was outstanding and it showed we have the characters to take us forward into the future. The key now is to transfer this knowledge and life experience gained from the camp and implement that into football training and ultimately winning games of football. This type of weekend doesn’t happen without a huge amount of work from numerous volunteers and of course money. I would like to thank all the support staff for their wonderful input and financially I would like to thank the club and Maughan Theim who made it possible. We all rest now for a couple of weeks with the knowledge of what we have learnt, so from the football department and all the players thanks so much for your continued support, have a Merry Christmas and we all look forward to seeing you at the footy next year in what promises to be a big season for the SANFL and the Eagles.
Regards Michael Godden
