A chook buying day

Let me set the scene .
I have totally cleaned out the old chook shed this morning trimmed the number of nest boxes down to 5 .Fenced off a section of the chook shed around 4 foot high with chook wire left the top open (thats important latter),last lot of chooks I bought were silkies they (dont fly right :thumbs: )
So I go off to the fodder store get the new chook bloke clips the wing for me(important lattercant fly with a clipped wing right) .Put her in his carton and off I go .Talk to her on the way home as we are driving (yes I am a big 47 yo hetro man ) nick name her Midge(what Moe calls marge in the simpsons duaghter said she's being called that ).
Get her home and out in the chook shed .Closed in all nice .
Daughter comes out can I take a picture .sure love you can snap a picture of Midge your not calling her that .Daughter hasn't seen her yet.
Open the door scares the daylight out of the chook once known as midge .Now you guessed it she's up jumps on top of my chook wire fence and out the other chook shed door.
It would have been like a Benny hill scene except my other girls got involved vicious little wyandottes they are .She wasn't hurt so its ok
So leaving miss 18 in charge keep the other girls away and take some snaps .I fetched my very old fishing net (bought in the 70's never used for fishing) and while there was a standoff I got her in the net .Lovely little girl soft felling feathers .Got her back behind chook wire bars put some more wire on top and fingers crossed shes in for awhile .

And miss 18 is still name thinking .When I showed her pistures on the net they look ugly dad .Changed her mind she's pretty you should have bought 2 Dad !! Couldn't unless u wanted a rooster love

Now everyone wish me luck if my other girls will go in the chook shed I will amke training tonight!!

I'm in the dog house the new chook got out and attacked the wife.
Was fine when I got home I caught her and put her with the other girls,hard to explain my chooks free range in my backyard all day .She was "hanging" with our silkie so just a matter of time and she should calm down .

Dont forget her name is sweeny lol
