Great result boys well done.
I watched most of the game online & the standard of footy would leave the main game for dead.
Congratulations to all involved.

Re: Under 18 Premiers
The desperate defence in the last 2 minutes that saved at least 2 maybe 3 possible attempts at goal for sturt and resulted in a rushed point was amazing. Great effort to catch up, get in front and hang on in what was a pretty tight game. Interesting to hear Shane Grimm say in his after match speech that there were around 50 players who represented the club in the Under 18's during the season, congrats to all of them too they all played their part in the overall success. The future certainly looks bright.

Re: Under 18 Premiers
Great win by the Boys and important for the Club to keep the winning culture of the Eagles instilled in the youth of the Club. However, more importantly for the Club is who of the U18 Premiers are going to continue to the next level and even step up to the next level.
McDonough aside (because he'll be drafted), Appleton and Schwarz look right up there and like the look of Hayes, big forward from Yorke Penensula. In the meantime, a difficult job for the Eagles selectors in deciding whic and how many of the Seconds players need to go to accommodate the talent of the U18s. Mistakes have been made by all Clubs in releasing young players who have made it good at other Clubs.

It truly was incredible that Sturt did not get a goal a couple of times in that last quarter! Those efforts really made a difference as to who won or lost in the end.
