coaching announcement

Dear Michael,

The WWTFC is announcing that John McCarthy will not continue as Defensive coach in 2012 effective immediately.

McCarthy who was appointed in November has struggled to find the time necessary to fully commit to the role with a young family and increasing workload with his employment.

Although clearly not ideal in terms of timing, the Club is confident of covering the loss from within with greater responsibility falling on our existing coaching group and experienced backline players.

On the decision McCarthy said “With a young family and an unforseen increase in the demands on myself from my job, it’s become clear I’m unable to commit the time and therefore effort to meet the expectations of the Role. I would like to wish the Coaching Staff and Playing Group all the best for season 2012.”

Saturday, March 3rd vs. Glenelg - Thebarton Oval - Reserves 11:40am & League 2.10pm - please note Reserves time change.

Saturday, March 10th vs. West at City Mazda Stadium - Reserves 11:25am & League 2.10pm.

Saturday, March 17th vs. South at Hickinbotham Oval - Reserves 11:25am & League 2.10pm.
