Re: AGM
COLIN DAVIDSON SEEKS YOUR SUPPORT FOR RE-ELECTION TO THE BOARD OF WWTFC
For over 12 years I have had the privilege of being an official of our club. I have undertaken the following duties:
• Player Welfare Officer since 2001
• League Statistician since 2003
• Board Member/Director since 2004
• Vice Chairman 2011
• Member of various club sub-committees
• Compered various club events
• Overseen membership growth from 1000 to more than 2500
• Established Chaplaincy support program
• Sponsored Monthly Player Awards for league and reserves ( Friday Boys)
• Assist the Eagles Nest supporters’ website Player of Year Award presentation
As a director of the club I have seen the many decisions we have made come to success and make us the envy of the league:
• The reigning premier, number 1 of the SANFL
• Financially sound
• Have improved the player facilities at Woodville Oval
• Developed a football department with programs judged the best in Australia
• Developed great value members packages with loyalty gift
• Exciting plans with a couple of announcements expected very soon
I am accessible to all by my attendance at training, game day, functions and via websites, facebook and through the club etc. thus always being able to listen to concerns.
My support for all members of the club will continue as I raise at board level the issues that matter to the members, sponsors, players and officials.
I will continue to ensure players and their families are fully supported on and off the field by access to appropriate support services whenever required.
I’m married to Christine and I have 3 children and 3 beautiful grandchildren.
After many years with the Education department as a teacher, principal and consultant I am retiring as of 17 February. This will give me much more time to devote to club duties.
As a volunteer and with my board responsibilities and duties I will continue to work with enthusiasm and energy to ensure we remain a successful, vibrant, well resourced and respected club – to remain Number 1.
My involvement has been beneficial to the management and leadership of the Eagles and as a proud passionate Eagles member, sponsor, volunteer and current director/vice chairman I seek your support for the coming election.
Thank You for your consideration and in anticipation your support.

Re: AGM
Col D thankyou for wirting what you have to us. there is no doubt that your invovement has been beneficial I believe that you have a good relationship with the President and CEO. But can you please explani to us how you believe your involvement will continue to be beneficial?
I think you, Chris Williams have my vote already but I would like to see what you believe you will bring in the future to.
Are the other noms going to advertise themselves on here? It'd be great for us to be able to question all the noms.

Re: AGM
Hi Carrots12
Thanks for the response. First I am only speaking on my behalf and cant speak for others nor for the club - our official spokespeople are Kurt and Chris D. I have a very good relationship with both of them and have greatly enjoyed working with and supporting them – even more so this year as vice chairman.
I believe I have much to offer as above in that I’d continue in those roles. My aim would be to increase membership to 3000 by continuing to engage with supporters getting them to join and keeping our current members involved and being part of the club.
My background and understanding of people is a balancing factor for the board. I’m not from a business background but rather an administrative and caring/people background. I bring the issues of the broader membership to the board table within the context of being the best football club we can be.
As a board member I am accessible to receive gripes, complaints, suggestions, and congratulations directly from members, players, sponsors etc. On here I don’t use a nickname and people can and do make contact by the private message facility.
Also as a person who lived for 20 years in country SA including a stint as secretary of one of our now zone clubs (Mintaro-Manoora) I bring to the board an understanding of country footy and have strong links to our country zones, in particular the NEFL and YPFL.
If re-elected with the exciting redevelopment of the clubrooms I am planning to push at board level for some acknowledgement of our history – may be even a hall of fame – something I want to explore and ensure our heritage and history is preserved. I believe all would welcome this move and as a board member would want to see this come to a reality.
I will if re-elected work with our marketing department to make us recognised as the club of the western suburbs by forging links to the new housing areas - St Clair etc. working with Phil H as our community officer - (a position I put to Chris D, we developed and refined and then had approved all board members.) Hopefully again boosting memberships and also attendances at our games.
I believe my influence and my ideas will be of benefit to our club.
I am firmly focussed on ensuring we do everything right to ensure our players and coaching panel have all they need for continuing success and we have everything in place to ensure our survival and growth into the future.

Re: AGM
If there is a HOF it has to include those players, coaches and maybe officals from league team down to juniors of both clubs pre 1991 and post 1991. Players like Lindsay Head and Malcom Blight.
