The WWTFC can confirm that it has provided an early guilty plea to accept a Level 3 - Forceful Front on Contact for Scott Lewis and was successful in its attempt to downgrade Byron Sumner’s Level 4 Striking offence from Saturday’s match versus Sturt.



The SANFL review panel interpreted Lewis’s incident as Reckless, Medium impact and High contact which amounted to 325 points. An early guilty plea and good record gave a 50% reduction in the number of points which means Scott will miss 1 match and will have 62.5 carry over points.



The SANFL review panel interpreted Sumner’s incident as Intentional, Low impact and High contact which amounted to 225 points. A 5% loading and 25 carry over points from a prior offence in 2012 along with a 25% reduction for an early guilty plea means Sumner will miss 2 games with 2.18 carry over points.



The Club is disappointed to be without Byron for the next 2 matches and Scott for this week’s game versus Glenelg.

Was a shocking day to be sitting in the outer yesterday !!! Umpiring was its normal shocking at times or was it just one umpire ?
But Eagles battled through and if not for some funny frees bays would have kicked less than 3 goals . Have to be happy with the young Eagles that came in .
